Refurbishing

Refurbishing means collecting discarded products or materials that can be refinished and sanitized to serve their original functions. Refurbishment is often aesthetic in nature and results in a product that, although in good condition, may not be comparable with new or remanufactured products.

This process is typically less intensive than remanufacturing, which results in a final product comparable to a brand-new product.

In remanufacturing, the product is resold with performance and specifications comparable to new products, refurbished products may simply be tested for physical appearance and function.

  • The customer is provided with reconditioned aggregates in exchange for old aggregates subject to simple acceptance norms.
  • Products range from reconditioned Engine Long Block, Gear Box, Power Steering Gear Box, Turbo Charger, Air Compressors to electrical components such as starter motors and alternators.

Key Benefits

  • In 2016, a total of 23,115 components/equivalent engines were reconditioned. The re-conditioned long blocks are also being exported to international markets.
